GEOcatalog helps finding geoinformation of various providers. On this account different search functions are presented.
The search options quick search , expert search , and thematic search enable a fast, efficient, and effective searching.
You would like to search for metadata of different providers and various content. GEOcatalog allows to define such specific search parameters:
Which resource type are you looking for?
GEOcatalog enables searching for geoservices, applications, and/or geodata. Select the geo-resource you would like to find.
What are you searching for - title, organisation name, keyword, topic categories?
You seek for metadata and would like to insert your parameters for a specific request. Insert an organisation name (provider's name), the title of the metadata, one or more keywords or select the full-text search (quick search or fuzzy search in the expert search).
Where - define a spatial filter?
Searching for geo-resources of a specific region is no problem while using the GEOcatalog. You define the search area via the map funcionts of the quick search, expert search, or browsing by theme. But you can insert a geographical name in the expert search (Where (place)?) also.
GEOcatalog's variety
The content of the GEOcatalog is multifaceted. If you would like to search for all metadata, request without any input.
